Khanuzai blast
According to Deputy Commissioner Pashin Juma Dad Mandukhel, a bomb planted in a motorcycle exploded at the election office of independent candidate Isfandyar Kakar in Tehsil Khanuzai of Pashin.
The Medical Superintendent of Khanuzai Hospital confirmed that after the blast, the bodies of 12 people and more than 30 injured were brought to the hospital, most of them in critical condition, where 4 more injured died during treatment.
After the explosion, the motorcycles parked in the area were destroyed.
The police say that as soon as the explosion was reported, a heavy police force reached the area and shifted the injured to the hospital, where after receiving medical aid, the seriously injured were shifted to Quetta.
The explosion took place outside the office of the candidate and former minister Isfandyar Kakar, who participated in the general elections, but he was not present in the office. A second explosion took place in Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan where 12 people were killed as a result of an explosion outside the office of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) while 12 people were injured as a result of the blast.
After the explosion, the motorcycles and vehicles in the area caught fire, after receiving the report of the explosion, the rescue personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital while the fire brigade personnel also reached the spot.
According to Balochistan caretaker information minister Jan Achakzai, the JUI candidate Maulana Abdul Wasi was safe as a result of the explosion in Saifullah Fort.
According to the preliminary investigation by the police, both blasts were carried out by explosives planted in the motorcycle, in which ball bearings and nails were also used.
